Scrip (or Script) is a means of generating additional funds for the work of the church by purchasing "gift" cards from a variety of merchants. A portion of the cost of the card is returned to church with amounts varying from 1.5 to 16% of the cards face value.
Some cards are routinely "in stock" for immediate purchase on Sundays. These generally include places such as BP Gas, Kohls, Walmart, and Walgreens. To find out what cards are in stock please check the white erase board near the stairs to the office.
Other cards can be ordered on Sundays and are generally available the following week. The list of vendors is quite extensive - not all of them were listed on the form that was published in the most recent newsletter.
To speed the ordering process it is asked that you fill out a Scrip Order Form available at church (see sample below) prior to placing your order. Make your check payable to church or you can also pay with cash. Usually Jerry C is at the table to process orders between 9 a.m. and the start of Sunday's services. (Other people may also be manning the area in his absence...)
If you have any questions please ask Jerry.
